Is this begging? Guys need Opinions?

Me and this guy i know from along time ago recently got in touch again he invited me out twice already but i could not go because of baby sitting. I already invited him out twice already and he could not do it either. I really give him lots of hints that I'm interested. The reason I'm interested is because he has a daughter so were similar with that and he is really sweet and nice. But I don;t know everytime i send him a message he takes a while to answer and i come to believe he is not interested but when we talk he does make it seem like he is? Am i just putting myself to easy or Should i keep trying.. Is he interested or not? or what can i do to get his att. plz need helpfull advice?
