Trek 7.5 FX v Marin Terra Linda?

I am looking to buy a women's spec bike as I am 5'1" and very slight. I was thinking of a hybrid for commuting and perhaps a little off-roading. These two bikes are identically priced and seem to meet most of my criteria. I know very little about bike specs. Is one particularly better than the other? Would appreciate any advice. Also, are there any other bikes in this price bracket that I should consider? Thanks!
