How to I get a contact off the ignore list?

I mistakenly clicked the wrong thing and declined my friend Paul Robbins from Instant Mdessage and I still can"t get him accepted on messenger... please tell me how I can get him accepted so I can talk to him again... I have been trying for 2 days to change this.. Linda Miitchell
