I got a subpoena for court, but i might not be able to go, because they pushed the date back 3 times?

I was a witness in a car accident (actually i was the passenger) but i received a subpoena, the pushed the date back into this summer, the date though conflicts with plans i had to move across country... virginia to nevada, i know i can be held for contempt but is there any way i can get out of going or just not go and be okay? Thanks
