Can i refuse to appear in court ?

here is the deal i am a witness court sent me the subpoena as eyewitness once i went to court but the defendant did not show up that day i lost 4 hours of work and now they sent me another subpoena to show up again but i dont want to because this is retarded is not showing up incourt can i talk to the crown to dismiss me of the witness list
